Roatan is known for it's beautiful white sand beaches and pristine coral reef, but also has few more things to offer while visiting the Island, such as a visit to the RoataInstitute for Marine Sciences and Carambola Gardens, a botanical park with nature trails.

Our first stop is at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences located at Anthony’s Key.  RIMS is dedicated to preserving Roatan's natural resources through education and research. Learn about our marine ecosystem and the history of the Island and it's first inhabitants on a self guided tour through the museum. This is something for the whole family to enjoy.

After our visit to RIMS, we head to Carambola Gardens, you will learn about a wide variety of local and exotic plants, they even have a Chocolate tree. Hummingbirds are always flying around in the garden. Local wildlife of Guatusas, Iguanas, Lizards are most likely to be seen. The Garden is quite rustic, so please make sure you are able to hike, withstand the humidity and bring your bug spray.

Now it’s time to monkey around for a bit at a local animal sanctuary. You will be able to interact with Monkeys and Scarlet Macaws and other local wildlife.

This tour can be customized by adding on a Canopy Tour (Zip Line) for an additional fee of $45.00 P/P

The Carambola Garden tour is usually self guided, but for an additional fee there is a guide usually available on the grounds.
